Endoscopic Tympanoplasty
- What it is
- A repair of a hole (perforation) in the eardrum. The surgeon works through the ear canal with a thin camera called an endoscope — so there is no big incision behind the ear.
- Who it's for
- People with a perforated eardrum, repeated ear discharge or reduced hearing because of the hole, when the doctor finds it suitable after a check-up.

Endoscopic Septoplasty + Turbinoplasty
- What it is
- Septoplasty straightens the bent wall inside the nose (a deviated septum). Turbinoplasty gently reduces swollen tissue inside the nose. Both are done through the nostrils using an endoscope.

- People with a nose that stays blocked, breathing through the mouth, or snoring linked to a deviated septum or swollen turbinates.

Ask on WhatsAppEndoscopic procedures are done under suitable anaesthesia, so you should not feel pain during surgery. Some discomfort afterwards is normal, and the doctor will give you medicines to keep you comfortable. Because there's no big incision, many patients find it easier than they expected.
It depends on the procedure and on you. After your check-up, Dr. Patel will explain the expected recovery time, the aftercare to follow and when to come back for follow-up.
Many endoscopic ENT procedures are planned as day-care, which means you may be able to go home the same day. The doctor will tell you in advance if a short stay is needed in your case.
